Players are required to wear non-marking athletic sneakers and appropriate athletic wear (no tanks, jeans, revealing clothing). Long hair (boys & girls) should be kept up and off the face.
Goggles are MANDATORY for all players under 19. This is a required safety measure stipulated by Badminton Ontario. Goggles must be ASTM Certified Protective Eyewear; several models are available at club prices (approx. $30.00).
Players are encouraged to bring their own racquets and goggles, however BJBC does have a small set of equipment that can be loaned out when necessary.
Nylon birds are provided for all club play and coaching and feather birds are available to be purchased. BJBC also has a variety of clothing, racquets and other equipment for sale and can suggest badminton retailers.
